Explore the history and repertoire of the fiddle traditions of County Clare in this eight-week online workshop. Learn versions of tunes composed and performed by some of the greatest exponents of Clare fiddling gleaned from both archival and commercial recordings.
Although the workshop focuses on the repertoire of fiddle players, this course is suitable to intermediate or advanced players of all instruments.
Each week the workshop is recorded and made available online to allow students watch-back or catch-up asynchronously if they were unable to attend live online. Students are be provided with sheet music and recordings for each tune learned.
